Life beyond design

I live and work in Portland, OR with my small but growing family. Laura, 2 year-old Zach, two cats (Mica and Pedro). My design inspiration comes from abstract forms in nature, old antiques, photographers, illustrators, and font designers. Lately, I’ve been loving Charley Harper’s animal illustrations and master designer, Alberto Cerriteño. Music plays a huge part of my personal and professional life and an excellent motivational tool. This month’s favs: Helio Sequence, Budos Band, Yeasayer, The Octopus Project, Talkdemonic, and the Panama3 compilation. When not designing, I love hanging with my son. Lately, he’s been into bowling, disc golf, and hiking. I’m also a big fan of making killer mojitos for my friends and intrigued by chimps and luchadores.
